P e a t ????? Can't Post

I come across a algae purification media imported from UK called "Peat".What you do is to put the bag(with proper ratio to pond size)into the pond and it act like a UV light to prevent water turn green.
Does any fellow member knows more about this sponge like looking peat?.

Hi David,

There's an ad in the sgp papers today advertising Sera Blackpeat Filter medium which claims to naturally hinder growth of fungus, bacterial infections and algae.

Called the dealer twice but think its just an answering service and the chap has yet to get back to me. Hence unable to provide anymore details at present.

Not sure if its the type of peat you have in mind but if you are still interested, let me know and I'll try again.

Cheers!

Well I know that Peat can be used to soften the pond water. I wonder what is the other usage of Peat ?
