I have seen in Nippon koi farm that pandan plants are being grown in the pond. According to Ah Seng, the plants can help to improve the water condition. I have tried introducing some pandan plants to my filter system. I just tie them neatly in a basket and float them in the water. After a few weeks numerous
roots appeared and I thought the plants are growing well. However, after some time I realise that the tip of the leaves are turning brown. Some of them even rotted and died. Does any one knows what is the cause of this? Please offer me some advice. Those in Nippon Koi are growing very nicely.

Hi Mr khoo,

thanks for offering help. My pond hold about 15 tonnes of water, including the filter, and it is located outdoor but with a black-netted shelter over the area. The shelter should effectively filter about 50%
of the sunlight. Are there any more details u need in order to answer my question?
