Pond bottom has debris ? Can't Post

Hi everyone,

My pond is as aatched photo. There is a 3 stage filteration system, 2 bottom drains, 4 kois and 6 other fish.
It is around 1 year old. I have a question , is it normal to have white fish pooh , (like rings and strands at the bottom ) and is algae as seen in the photos normal. I know it gets a lot of sunlight but i have done some balancing to get rid of green water, it's clear for me.
Pls comment or advice me on the pond as this forum has many experts.

regards and thanks

IMO Bro if the algae is the long furry type it may be gd during day time but bad for the O2 level during the nite time so i suggest u have to get rid of those long hairy type...as for the faeces it is a sign of the fishes not having a normal diet/or not digesting properly...im no expert but experience gave me the credibility of answering ur question..hope it helps....

Thank you for the advice. The long fury algae is on the side of the pond. I have no idea how to get rid of it. I think it is due to the amount of sunlight the pond gets, which is quite extensive. The feaces of the fish, i am feeding the fish 1 table spoon of food twice a day. The fish have approximately 55 inches in length. Do you think this is too much ?

I guess u ve got to install one UV sterilizer to prevent those algae frm coming back...frm the volume of water i saw frm ur pic it could cost u quite a bit but it all comes down to u on how seriously dedicated r u to provide the best for ur koi's..hope this bit of info would help u bro.. n ur koi's eats little for a 55cm..wat kind of food do u provide,it shud be large pellet for that size n feed moderately (3 X a day) 3 handfull would b ok n make sure ur filtration is able to support the bio load ur koi is givin out..filtration system must be 1/3 of ur pond volume...

Hello Nashnell......Smile

I dont' know if you still some advice for your pond but this is just for future refrence....

Firstly i suggest you give some shade on top of your pond, cos during noon time the tempreture would be really warm and i noticed that you don't have any
air-ring in your pond cos duriing warm temperture most of the outdoor fishes need oxygen. Secondly, feed the koi with a proper diet but don't over feed it. Third treat your pond with water conditioner it will help to reduce all the ammonia

Regards
