Reducing Ph Can't Post

hi all,
i am a constant reader of these forum but hardly do any posting. I had recently built a 3000 gal pond. My water pH is always around 8.0 ( tested day and nite). My pond is not exposed to rain and only 10% of sunshines gets into it for merely 1-2 hrs a day. I am hoping to get to a pH of 7.2-7.5. So my question is, how do i do that? Btw, my tap water is constantly at ph8 too. I have 3 small koi, 1 medium. Pond has been running for 2 months.

Last question, before i let those sifu advise me wat to do. What's the maximum ph will be obtained if if put oyster shell as a buffering, in my case i took it off for now.

Thanks,
csmy

Re: [csmy] Reducing Ph [In reply to] Can't Post

csmy,

Having ph at 8 is fine, IMHOWink. I will not even worry about lowering specially if your tap water's ph is 8 and if it's stableSmile.

Koi can likes ph between 7 to 8.4Smile
