Using Perma-Beads in a sand filter? Can't Post

Apparently no one has tried the glass beads in a sand filter...Okay have any of you tried PERMA-BEADS. Now that's strange, I don't know how to change this.. Anyway. These are plastic or ceramic beads that you can substitute for sand in your sand filter. Apparently they are made for aquaculture and convert a standard pool sand filter into a pond/koi friendly filter system. If you've tried Perma-Beads...please let me know what you think of them.

a standard sand filter isn't really suitable to change to perma beads or any plastic related beads.

If you are really interested in a plastic beads filter, you can log into www.waterco.com.

We have a type of filter specially made for aqua filtration e.g. koi pond
