Pretty amazing, right? I didn't think these things could happen over night, but all I added was an 18w uv and did a 20% water change. It's pretty much crystal clear now! Went from not being able to see the fish a foot down to being able to see them all the way three feet down! Here they are all the way at the bottom next to the bottom drain:





The only green you see left is good algea clinging onto the liner surface.

Hopefully things will stay this way.

I should note, I also gave the biofilter a boost with "filter gel" beneficial bacteria innoculant and a bottle of stress-zyme. I'm amazed with the results!

Funny you should say thatSly.
My DIY pond with DIY filtration, full sun all day, and NO UV has NO algaeWink except the thin layer of carpet algae I want on the walls. If I top off my pond with aged (green) water it is clear in a matter of hoursSmile. A properly sized and fed filter will NOT feed algae.
