blanket weed controller Can't Post

Has anyone tried the electronic blanket weed controllers ? I've just ordered one and was wondering what you all thought, I think many of you in the States call it string algae, but in the UK we call it blanket weed. this link is to the type i have ordered but there are others about.

Yes, I've had one for about a year now and it hasn't made any difference to the amount of blanket weed. I assume you are on about the one that you wrap a coil of wire around the pipe to or from the filter and it plugs into a controller. It may work for you but not for me
