Sorry, your pict is too small to actually see. Anyway, had the same problem before and i finally realise its due to the pots (plants) which i place above the filter. When heavy rain, the soil etc will flow into the filter and it ended up cloudy....was fortunate as that was beginning where i had on 2 little koi to test the water...

sorry as not familar with ur set up....but if the murky water happens a few days after the said potted plant was placed, then chances are thats the cause. IF u had it for years, doubt it. Maybe more info such as the set up, how long u had the pond would help...not a pro but by chance noted common problem, hence prompting.

It looks to me like you have the usual warm weather algae bloom, causing green water. You can add a UV light to kill off the algae, until your filter catches up with the pond.

hey, my pond is about 850 gal pond. I have a pond master pump an filter. A tetra pond greenfree uv light. I started this pond about 4 yrs ago. I love so much. I have a 2 almost 3 ft butterfly koi, (3) 2 ft domestic koi an about (12) 6in gold fish. The filter cleaning that i did must of worked, i can see the bottom now. I'll take a good pic of it an show you what it really looks like.
