frog eggs Can't Post

help! i had a few visitors last week who left thousands of eggs in my 1100 gal pond. they were large frogs not sure which kind but they laid long strings of eggs. at first i thought it was string algae. i've tried to net most of it out but the strings just broke apart and spread all over. theres just so many and they're starting to hatch. my six small koi dont seem too interested in them even though they love to eat and look for food all the time.
will all those tadpoles affect my water quality? should i stop feeding my koi in the hope that they'll start going after the eggs?
any ideas greatly appreciated, zoe.

Re: [zoe] frog eggs [In reply to] Can't Post

Hi Zoe,
I have been in the pond hobby for seven years now...each year the frogs come to lay their eggs..I 'do' scoop out what I can because I don't want all those eggs there...that is just me...I have never had a problem with the frog eggs in there...it has never affected my water quality or bothered my fish..that is just my experience with frogs..don't think there is any harm there. Smile I net out my pond 'daily' and sometimes twice a day...
