ph too high Can't Post

hi this is my first time on this site and have only been keeping koi for a few month, the problem is my tap water from leaving the tap is7.2 ph after a few days in my 1000 gallon pond it goes over 9.0 i dont know exactly how much over as i have not got a digital tester at the moment{buying one soon}.My pond is well filtered,uv light, and two large airstones,my pond is not sheltered so it is in direct sunlight with 5 koi 6 goldfish and a sturgeon.I have read on these pages about the use of bicarbonated soda to bring levels down but how much shall i put into a 1000 gallon pond,i also have 2 chagoi paid for in the shop and was wondering if it would be safe to add them to my pond any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks
