The 7TH MALAYSIA KOI SHOW 2008	Can't Post

Fully charged after the recent visit to the Jakarta International Koi Show hosted by the new ZNA Jakarta Chapter, our President declared:

“We must get to work ASAP to organize a bigger and better show to benefit our members”

Heck, where are we going to get them exotic dancers

The 7th ZNA MALAYSIA KOI SHOW!!! MARCH 8th ~ 9th 2008,

YES, we are hosting a koi show. After getting hammered by our members who were suffering from withdrawal symptoms from the cancelled show, we shall be hosting our 7th Koi Show in March, 2008

We promise it will be a bigger and better show this time and God willing, in a more prestigious venue. We may even extend invitations to foreign ZNA Chapters to bring their kois to compete. We are confident our members will rise to the challenge!

Fellow Malaysian Hobbyists, Get prepared! Mr Ricky, General Secretary of Jakarta ZNA Chapter has given fair notice that Kichis from Indonesia has declared war and will be bringing their big guns & small guns also Wink

to try and take away many trophies from us. You have 5 MONTHS to prepare your kois.

Ricky, To give your army an even battle ground, we are working out the protocol, logistics and hadling charges with interested Dealers to manage koi entries form our overseas chapters. First and foremost is to ensure that stress to the kois are minimum and also their bio-safety. We are also working out eligibilty issues for overseas participants. Once all these are sorted, we will issue you the challenge.

If you think we are easy meat, you will be surprised if you come unprepared. Bawah Meriam dong! Come on down!! Cool

Hee Heng, congratulations on hosting your next Show .. finally Wink

Looking forward to having detailed protocols of the Show, especially related to the import and re-exportation the entrants from / to Indonesia, then I will try to organize my fellows to enter their jewels ..

Anyway we here could never even think to be able to take any major prize, moreover the GC, considering very strong competitors up there ...

But the challenge is duly accepted .. Laugh

You are most definitely welcomed to lend a hand. The kois how can only succeed with the efforts of volunteers. It is a good opportunity to learn more about koi when you are in the thick of action. The ZNA MALAYSIA KOI FISH CLUB is pleased to annonce that the much awaited koi show shall be held as follows:

DATE: SATURDAY MARCH 29th ~ SUNDAY MARCH 30th 2008
VENUE: MID VALLEY EXHIBITION CENTRE, MID VALLEY MEGAMALL, kUALA LUMPUR

Yes, believe it or not it is happening at the Mid Valley Exhibition Center (MVEC) next to the food court within the Mid Valley MegaMall. The official Hotel CTITEL is also in the same complex. All the restaurants are there. Its an organisers dream location.
MVEC has 3 Halls totaling 50k sq ft. We will use Hall 1 which has an area of 17,500 sqft. If time , manpower and space permits, we may have seminars for the public.We expect to have the official opening and prize giving on a stage at the foyer of the Center.

Since ADMISSION IS FREE, we should see thousands of visitors as the Megamall has mega number of people during weekends! So for the winners going up to collect his/her prize, it will be o moment to cherish. Wink

This year's competition will be different as kois from 30 BU up to 45BU will be judged in PVC bags. After judging they will be returned to the respective owners tanks.

We will be annuncing more edtails and events as we finalise them. So look forward to your particiapation and vist.

Will there be any kois selection events for this 7th Koi show? Must give some time for would be participants to save up in order to spend more for the event? Wink

LAu, Unfortunately, this year , we will not have a koi selection event. But we will have koi auction of small to medium kois. We will also allow, participants who want to sell their kois through an auction. This way, hobyists can have an opportunity to buy good kois at hopefully reasonable prices as some competitors may not want to keep all their competition kois after the show...

A few of the kois that will be auctioned on Sunday Morning. These photos will be pinned on the auction board and you can also see the kois live in their tanks. These are from Sakai lineage. I think they are very beautiful and I am sure with the quality to match. SO be there. We will have credit card payment facilities.. so dont worry about not bringing cash or cheque book! Cool

Nice looking fishes , what's the reserve prices for these ? R there others on auction as well ?

and Ir. Ng Yit Kok ( Show Organizing Chairman )

Opening ceremony performed by drummers from a local school in the present of a huge crowd of spectators.
