Re: [dtbh] ZNA Malaysia Young Koi Charity Show [In reply to] Can't Post

Dear Dr Teh,

Can a competitor enter his koi selected during the '1st Koi Selection' competition to compete in the coming Young Koi Charity Show 2004? For 'Koi selection' competition the koi is grouped in a common tank with the others but for 'Young Koi Show' the koi is placed in the owner's tank, so how do we transfer the koi in between the tanks for the 2 different competitions?

Re: [mhlim] ZNA Malaysia Young Koi Charity Show [In reply to] Can't Post

Dear Mr Lim

Good question. We have deliberated on this issue and have decided that it is alright to enter the same fish for both the competitions. HOWEVER it is up to the respective competitors to ensure that the said kois are at the correct respective tanks during the judging. IF the kois are not in the alloted tanks they WILL be overlooked.

Judging for the Young Koi Charity Show will be in the morning of Sept 25th (Saturday) while judging for the 1st Koi Selection and Rearing Competition will be on Sunday 26th. Competitors have ample time to transfer the kois.

Thanks.

Dr Teh

HWong, congratulations again! Wink This should be a very exciting show if things go on at this rate. These are all due to the efforts of yourself and the other organizers and volunteers of the show Cool. There should also be record number of entries and participation if you include first timers like me and others in the Koi Selection/Rearing Competition. Smile Once again, great job from all you guys!Sly

Yes, I'm sure the older com and ex-com members were very helpful too. We're lucky to still have them around to lend a hand. You are too humble and definitely no "KLF". All of you have made the club active and interesting again. I for one have renewed interest in this hobby again, thanks to all of you.Wink
Always friendly :)

Re: [dtbh] ZNA Malaysia Young Koi Charity Show [In reply to] Can't Post

I hope the safety aspects have been fully considered. The koi for the rearing competition may have been mixed with newly imported koi. When such koi are transfered to the common tank for the sunday judging, they may infect the whole tank ! I would suggest that everyone be advised to quarantine their koi after the show to avoid any heartbreaking disaster in their pond!
