Flashing Koi Can't Post

Hope someone can help here.. I'm just new to the Koi hobby this year.. I inherited a 1600 gallon pond and it was a mess.. I cleaned it out, put the fish back.. (dechlorinated) and all is going well, well all was going well until I noticed my babies flashing... I thought it was because they loved the clean water, or they now had room to swim... Needless to say, they caught a parasite.. I'm assuming thats what it is.. a few of them are swimming and flashing sideways for a split second.. One even jumped somewhat out of the water..
Anyhow I read in a post that all I need to do is add salt (sea salt, or salt with no idodine in it).
This is starting to happen more frequently and I'm panicking.. I read and read and the more I read the more I got confused.. I really am determined to look after these little guys.
Can someone help? SOON? '
Thanks sooo much
Joylaine

Re: [Joylaine] Flashing Koi [In reply to] Can't Post

koi flash mainly because of water quality, bacteria,or parasite. I think we just help some one with koi flashing not too long ago. Please check water quality, check parasite by scrap and scope some fish. If you do not have new fish, then the flashing probably just because of water quality. Get back to us when you done these.
