Goldfish Sitting on the Bottom and Red Spots on Their Bodies. Can't Post

Ok, I know this is a Koi forum--meaning only entitling solely for Koi purposed discussions--but I find this sight filled with helpful people and affiliates. And since goldfishes and Kois are related to the Carp family, these are problems that I assume both relatives of the Carp family similarly share. First off, all of my goldfishes are down at the bottom of my aquarium and they hardly ever swim. Quite several of them have also have red spots on them. These fishes have been in my family ever since we received a 60gal tank from my dad's friend, and these past 6 years created an immense bond between my family and them. It pains me to have no other alternatives other than writing down my their issues in this site. Here are the water parameters:
pH: 7.6-7.8
Ammonia: 0
Nitrite: 0
Nitrate: 5ppm

Nothing is wrong with the water. What's the problem that's causing the goldfishes to not having the motivation to swim? All of them are at the bottom of tank, sitting on the gravel. In addition, several of them seem to be FLASHING/JUMPING. If all of the water parameters are fine, what is the cause of this unrelenting problem with the goldfishes? In past years, nothing seems to be wrong with these fishes. Even though some died during the years, it seems weird how all of them are exhibiting the same behaviors now. In retrospect, my family and I did not add any chemicals to make the water Ammonia/Chlorine-free whenever we cleaned out the tank, and all of them were fine. I've seen websites that I should add in chemicals that remove Ammonia/Chlorine from the tapwater, and weird as it might sound, it has done more harm than good. Please, I need an informative answer on what to do; our entire family is depressed over this problem, and none of them no what to do--including myself.

Dear Yinh

Your pictures are quite small so hard to see what the problem is.

But your discription says lots about parasites. So have you got any new fish lately?

When you do water changes try to do about 15 to 25% once every 2 weeks (never change all the water in one go.) Check your tap water also for chemicals as tap water is alright for human consumption dosent meen it's ok for fish.

Do a skin scrap on a fish and check for parasites If you have a microscope or accsess to one.

Try Malachite green use enough for one treatment then 3 days later do half that again and on day 7 half the origonal dosage then once more on day 14 again half the origonal dosage.

And use lots of air.

good luck.

hello, water temp can also cause them to slow down and sit at the bottom.

Thank you for your response. Although I did not get to use Malachite Green, I used Paracide Green (I assume they work interrelatedly) and the flashing, idleness, and red/white spots all disappeared within a week! I stopped feeding them fish food, but fed them peas because I was concerned if their idlness had to do anything related to the swim bladder (bubble). In retrospect, my family always did 100% water change every 6 months and nothing was wrong these past few years. Somehow, the water we used affected all of the fish. Thanks for your feedback.
