Koi Injury Can't Post

I have a small koi, which I think injured itself on the corner of a rock type ornament in the tank. It looks pretty deep, and it's red (blood). I put the koi in a separate tank and have been putting Melafix. It's been three days and it doesn't look like it's getting better. I also see some white in the area, but I don't know if it's infected or if it's tissue. There's no other damage on the koi's body, just that one spot, and it has been swimming and eating like normal. Can anyone provide information on what I can do or if it has become a possible infection.

Here's some pics of it

Re: [chinadollrolo] Koi Injury [In reply to] Can't Post

you do all the right things, even melafix reduce bateria in the water, bacteria will keep producing as long as the koi eat and poop. use iodine to qtip the wound, cover it with neoprorine (human cut) then seal it with dental powder. All of these sold at Wallgreen or wall mart. It's be allright
