Koi health Can't Post

UnimpressedPlease can some one give me some advice. We have a raised koi pond which holds 4500 gallons and have a 3 bay filter chamber plus a vortex.
Since updating our pond our koi have really suffered especially our oldest ones (they're about 10 yrs old)
Some of the fish were damaged when we netted them (mainly mine and my husbands poor netting skills and the koi's determination not to be caught). One of the koi we netted we found to have a large ulcer like hole on his underneath. I bought an antibacterial wash plus a type of spray on sealant. The water in the holding pool was monitored regularly and the nitrites etc were kept down. While in the holding tank the fish with the ulcer became very stressed, the ulcer seemed to get worse and others started to appear. (this could have been down to the Koi spawning while in the holding tank)
We put salt in the holding tank 1/2 oz per gallon which calmed the koi down. Unfortunately the ulcerated koi did not survive.
Now all of our koi (about 12 ranged from 20inches to about 2ft) are back in the new pond. 4 weeks on - some of the koi with missing scales appear to have ulcer like sores appearing where the scales are missing - some have ragged fins, mouth rot which points to poor water quality and the koi are flashing. BUT i have regularly tested my water and it appears to be perfect - i doubted my testing equipment so i bought a new tetra testing kit and again it showed a perfect water quality - i tested for amonia, nitrite and PH
I have been advised by my Nishi koi dealer to use Acroflavin which is okay to use with the salt - which I have now done repeatedly 3 times - but the sores are still appearing and not really showing any signs of healing. The Nishi koi dealer (Koi Logic) have said it will take time to heal and repeatedly treating the fish will cause even more stress.
Now another sore is appearing on a different koi which did not get damaged - it started with a scale that looked slightly discoloured then it progressed to an area approximatly 1 to 2 inches asnd it has started to swell as if there is water under the skin.
Another Koi has a hole in his mouth which was not there when we netted him it looks like another ulcer that has burst and has left a hole.
Any help would be appreciated thanks xx Smile

Obviuosly, your antibacteria spray and sealant don't work.
First off, find the reason why it have hole on the skin: it either heavy content of bacteria, parasite or collison. if you change new water 100% and clean up filter real well you can eliminate part of the the bacteria problem. If you have a microscope, scap and scope few fish to see wheither they have parasite and treat accordingly. Collision is something we have to live with it.
Salt the pond to .3% will help fish inmune systems to fight back bacteria. Treat ulcer by iodine and seal with dental powder. I have done that so many time and it works every time. Check water quality, part of the fish weak inmune system is because of water quality. Get back with us after you done all this.

Thank you for your kind response. I have tested water quality - ammonia = 0 Nitrite <0.3 PH 7.4
My next stage will be to scrap and put under microscope.
I have spoken to my local koi dealer in london (koi logic) and they advise to use Acriflavine as it works well with salt inthe water and to use propolis mix in their food which I have started.
My feeling is that it is a bacterial infection - it is very distressing - I am enquiring into getting a vet to come and inspect and maybe start antibotic injections. I still cant understand why ulcers are attacking the kois' mouth and some fins. Some kois just have one fin which is being attacked others have sores around their mouths and one has ulcers, mouth rot and fin rot.

even a scrap and scope is a sure thing, for my experience, it's just bad water. if there is parasites, the fish will isolate themself at the bottom of the pond and stay inactive then die within 7 days. you probably have more than 7 days. Treat the fish with iodine and seal the wound by dental powder not just real cheap but also will do the trick everytime. No need fish vet or antibiotic injection anything, it's cost you $ for unecessary treatment. Use anti biotic only when the wound is large and internal infection.
Bacteria exist in any water new or old, the dirty the pond, the more bacteria was created. Fish in spring time inmune system is very weak, the mucus is few, therefore they are subjected to heavy content of bacteria, by then you got fin rot, mouth rot, where the mucus is thin. change new water clean up things very weel then salt the pond to .3% will do it. Keep salt in the pond for 4,5 week or more until temp hot, inmune system fully develop then can change water. think twice when you apply chemical, the least you use it the better the fish have chance to recover.
