Red streaks on shiro body Can't Post

Dear all,

I have a recently purchased shiro which showed red streaks all over the body. Is this a sign of parasite infection or just stressed from moving? Can PP solve the problem?

Thanks for sharing

Re: [Marcus] Red streaks on shiro body [In reply to] Can't Post

please read this thread

if the redness spread to fins and body, it could be Bacterial Hemorrhagic Septicemia (Aeromonas Hydrophila). if left untreated, the koi will die.

it will stay at the bottom most of the time, but will come up to feed.

if the red hairline streaks are limited to the body and the fisg seems healthy, its probably just stress.

Hi Tangigi,

Thanks for your infor. The koi looks perfectly fine, swimming normally and feeding well, just that the body's a bit red, but I saw some improvements today...hopefully its just stress, cos I just transferred it from Q tank to the pond, and Q tank is a bit small for the fish of its size.

Cheers
