Sudden Death Can't Post
Just lost 2 kois from separate ponds. both kois died suddenly. Just a day ago, they look and swim normally and are very healthy. Suddenly they look weak and swim slowly then after a few hours, you'll see them fall to the bottom of the pond.water parameters are all perfect. Ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, DO, pH are as usual. everything looks normal; scales, eyes, skin. No wounds, scratches, etc. Body slime, same as usual. What are the possible causes?

the only thing i can think of is out side pollutants or some form of poisoning... but if you have other fish that are not affected that would rule that out...

so i am stumped

Did you ever figure out anything about your Koi.......So sorry for your loss, I know how horrible I feel right now. I just posted a message regarding loss of one of my Koi, and wondering if your loss was similar? If you have a chance maybe you could read it and let me know if this sounds like what happened to you. - Post is Death in the pond:(.

yup. sudden death. no visible signs of sickness. however, i believe there are numbers of causes for its death. It's just that i'm not advanced enough to diagnose the problem, skin scrape, biopsy, etc. well, i just salted all my ponds.
