Warped gills Can't Post
Hi every 1 !!.
I´m new koikeeper in finland (can you belive it Shocked , no we dont have icebear :) ).

I have 3 years old fish and they get last year babies (about 600 pieces).

Now those babies are growing and some (5 - 6 pieces) have diseace like picture.

I have discuss with Dr. Joost Blom DANA FEED A/S and he says that diseace is
deficiency in vitamin C. But food should be good and include vitamin C

Food is Takazumi High Grower.

Have anybody aware that problem?.

Hi Raid,

Run a check on the nitrite level of your water. I suspect it could be due to prolong exposure to high level of nitrite.

Well this is a new one on me....

If anything i would have thought maybe lack of Vit D or a major problem with the calcium. Or even polution from herbicides or pesticides, still i will look into it and see what i can find.

Hi! Nitrite was 0,2-0,4 (No2 mg/L (ppm) Shocked !! I make directly waterchange and put sealsalt to the water.

I think reason that higher nitrite was plugging suctionpipe.

i make several waterchange next few days.

Let c how that will be help .

BWT. how much is good level nitrite ?
