Does anyone knows where to get formalin anywhere in and around KL?

Fromalin is a very strong chemical, used only in extreme bacterial infection situations and very dangerous if dosage is not correct. It is also poinsonous to inhale the fume while handling. I dont suggest that you use it if you do not have exact pond volume. I have responded to your PM.

Formalyn, basicly is a high toxin chemical, if you use a high dose to eliminate parasite, it will eliminate your fish too. The first sign of too much formalyn is the fish turn red spot all over. However if mixed with Malachite green, a small dosage of each will do a much better job than itseft alone. Depend on cases, manufacturer have mixed both in a certain % to cure most of parasite disease. ProformC is one, or Quick Cure (a higher persentage) both contain Formalyn and Malachite green.

hi roger..

try get product from <interpet>, they hv medication with formalin inside, they also hv formaline at a safe dosage concentration.. i think u can easily get them at Atari koi.

Hey guys,

Thanks for the prompt reply. I guess buying formalin and using it alone is quite dangerous if I don't have proper dose for my pond.

Sam, I have read much about Proform-C from foreign koi forum. But in KL I don't think the shops here carry it.

I'll check out Interpet!! Smile
