well i never knew what it was but its gone :) i lower my stocking from 20+ goldfish of various sizes and 7 koi down to just the koi ,and that seems to have helped .the water quality was never a problem but i believe the adult goldfish were stressing out my younger koi even though they were bigger by wanting to spawn with them all the time ,stress gone, problem fixed :)

regards

Mark

looks like i spoke to soon ,the same fish has been acting lethargic the last couple of days ,its still feeding but swimming very slowly .the little growth has gone but now the fish has split fins and looks very pale (its a kohaku)the red has went pink and the white has a slight pinkish color ,the fins are also a little blood shot .could this be just from stress as this fish was bullied a bit by 3 larger goldfish (males and i think the young kohaku is a female )i got rid of all the goldfish a week ago 20+ fish .

the water parameters are normal .

i have her in a large well aerated bucked and i am treating here with king british antibacterial/fungal remedy for about an hour now

anybody any thoughts on this ?.
