Hi,

my friend has a 72 cm female kohaku, looks really good, no blemish, swims and eats normally. sometimes it would raise its head above the water, gulp some air and go back down ( no sign of swim bladder problem).

is this an early warning of sometime bad or is it normal for some kois

One of my KOI does this evertime she sees me..............She comes up out of the water with her mouth open wide. I have a couple of others who do weird things to, I think that some fish just have different habits.................
