sick koi Can't Post

ok , i have 3 koi on of them has been in a corner near the surface of my 30 gal tank with his head high almost touching the surface and his tail down. he wabbles from side to side like he can't balance. he swims irratically and rubs the rocks. i noticed yesterday that when he does swim arround that i can see his tail quivering. on to my next koi he has been fine till about two days ago it just sits at the bottom and to day it was on its side at the bottom/ it tapped the tank and it snapped up but i'm alittle worried. they are 5years old and just started to have problems

Re: [oteal1911] sick koi [In reply to] Can't Post

hi, Oteal, you probably have to describe more about the koi, 3 koi in 30 gallon tank? before that what did the koi go thru? new fish?, condition of the pond? etc... As i said before to Karon, water parameter have to check first then change 100% water (dilute bacteria) and check parasite. Your fish condition, as described (i can only tell you for what you said, very cautiously) if i am not mistaken from what you described, is in his final minute, swimming uncontrollable show that bacteria has get into his body, go to surface means he has problem breathing, one thing i'm sure about the other fish: lay on his side at bottom means he is in tremendous stress mostly because too much bacteria or parasite around him. please do as i said, good chance we can save the other one
