whitish and bulging eye Can't Post
Koi sifu, I need help, my tancho sanke one of its eye is bulging or poping and also looked badly cloudy and whitish. The other eye look normar. The tancho also act and eat normal.









You know it's addicted and cost you a lot of money, but still doing it!

hi none is answering my question yet, I really need help becouse the tancho sanke is my favorite. I ve checked all water parameter is perfect salinity is 0.3%. The other fish are all fine, even this tancho only right eye is effected the other eye is normal. What should I do to treat this, its getting worse will it recovered?

hi viper99. I read your question, but i do not know the reason, please post your question on koivet.com may be some people have experience on this can give you an answer, the problem don't seem to be caused by parasite or bacteria. Good luck.

humm, have you login? Login first they will send you a email to authorize you. This fish disease is tough, i doubt any one can answer, but who know, may be someone have experience will show up. keep faith. The budging eye i can tell you because of bateria inner infection. with fish, particular in bacteria inner infection people use antibotic shot, but that all i can sure give you. Once bacteria get into his liver, then we have dropsy. too hard to save the fish then.

hi

i see your salinity is at 0.3% ,how long have you been salting your pond ? i have read on here somewhere that salting over a long period of time can produce eye complications ,it could also be the results of your fish just banging its eye of something .

Hi Mark thanks for the reply, the salinity has been for 4 weeks. If the salinity that couse the bulging and whitish eye, why its only happened to one eye not both. I ve tried to feed the fish with teramycin (by dipping the food into teramycin that I ve mixed with a little water), so far I ve tried for 4 days but still no improvement at all.

i tried that way before: eating antibiotic drug. It doesn't work. only way is to inject. If you are not familiar with injection, please check many website how to. In the USA people normally use Baytrill. Salt only keep for 3, 4 week. do not keep long time. It will force the fish to continuosly produce unnecessary mucus, it can drain the fish out or over produced mucus can block gill.
