Does anyone ever try on the bread worm (that one sold very commonly in any LFS) to give an extra source of protein?? If yes, then how about the result??
i have never use bread worm.. i know its for bird.. yes u r rite the protein is high, so as their fat content.. too much fatty food for ur koi is not good, making koi fat not muscular.. i might be wrong..
I do feed my koi once in a while. I do not know abt koi become fat but I know they grow quickly in length and width during the week I feed them with meal worm(breadworm).....
i just feed them 2~3 times once a week and 1 time per day.......because after feeding with it, is will leave out some white debrids.....so afraid might make the water bad....
Ohh... I dont feed them regularly only once in a while but in a row of a few days continously.. so not so concern. its more like a treat for them then a stable food....
I dont see the white debris but jus afraid that they have heart attack or high blood pressure becos of the richness in protein and fat. heheee
about an inch long grub kinda gold colour with legs ??
I have fed them a few times the fish seem to relish em but they do die pretty quickly in water so best to hand feed them, although they do wiggle alot.
Nice as a treat once in a while.

sorry for the late reply..... yup that was I talking about.... everytime when i feed my kois.....it always grabbed up very quickly by my kois....even no time for them to die water.........just die in my koi's stomach.....
