Hey,
Well I got my hands on some Frozen Brine shrimp (cubes) and i was wondering if it would be fine to just hold the semi-thawed food and they would eat at it. Is this the right stuff????

Also I got some more food, but this one includes some "color enhancers" Will this affect our new 3" inch kois??? Is it good for them? Also We have a White Koi, 2 actually, one was a Kohaku that is all white, and another is an all white one. WIll they develop other colors????

Hi Chelsea,

You could just drop the cubes in your pond and watch your koi play water polo(koi rules)Wink I use shrimp head, grind it in a blender with a bit of water to turn it into a paste, put it in a ice cube container then freeze it. Its very good color enhancerSmile And as for the color enhancers you can try but as the koi grows they colors sometimes come and goCrazy Good luckSmile

  The brine shrimp they love, but sadly one of our Non-kois swallows the whole cube and doesn't let the little guys play. Is it bad for them if they swallow the frozen cubes? The non koi also is the only handfeeder so she gets all the brine shrimp, I try not to let her but she sucks the whole cube up....brain freeze bad?

Shrimp heads..where do u get those?

I get my shrimp heads either when my wife cooks them or from two local chinese sea food restaurantsSmile I just have to go through their garbageShockedTongue anything for my koi. They're not price winners but love them to bitsAngelicAngelicAngelic

Brain freeze, thats funny, never heard that one before, nope not good, make sure you cook the shrimp first, you could try and push the pig out of the way and let the others get some. kgt 1223 does it all the time in his vids.
