HAND FEEDING TIP! Can't Post

Hi All,

To encourage Koi to eat from your hand try this.

Mix some paste food with honey, as it will stick to your fingers, as you put your hands in the water, the Koi will suck it off. But be patient a first.

Other treats:
Lettuce, (Once a week in the summer and two times a week in winter)
Oranges, (Once a week in winter)
Whole wheat bread (two times a week all year round) with
Honey or Garlic.

I used to take fresh Garlic and crushed it, to use on the bread, but it makes your hands
stink and nobody wants to greet you by hand anymore.
I now use “Crushed Garlic” by Robertson Spices (Not the Garlic salt), which I sprinkle over a slice of bread, the Koi is mad about it.

zoul...

You better be jealous then......lol.....just kiddingSmile

My tomato patch provide massive amount of earthworms during spring and summer....

And they range from the occasional foot longs and as thick as my pinky...to key sized and think like a toothpick...Crazy

Oh just yummy stuff....

I lift a 3 inch worm by the pond once and left for like 15 seconds....when I got back it was gone...and the koi looks extremely happy...Laugh think they shredded it into threes to share....hahaha
