(Do what I did to 'wild' koi in a old abandoned house's pond in my neighborhood...)
Mix up a powder food (Shrimp powder does best, but wheat germ is tasty too ) with honey (To make it sweet, and more importantly...sticky ) and smear it about your hands to about to half your arm's lenth. For an extra treat add tiny crumbles of your koi's favorite food or bits of fruit or vegis to the mix, and dip your hands in the water and wait QUIETLY (Until they know you well atleast... )! The koi will become used to you after a while (Its best to dip your hands without the mix at first, so the koi will get used to hand shaped feeders in the pond!  LOL) Soon, the koi will nibble and suck the mixture off your hands, and in turn; get used to you. This will soon become your favorite thing to do with your koi, and it will become your koi's favorite bonding-time treat!
(I bonded with the koi, that is, until a crane came and ruined the friendship... )
