hi well after a few days of trying to hand feed my fish a few are coming to me :) it is hard not to just through food into the fish that are staying away but hunger will get to them eventually ,it is true about chigoi being fearless my one is the only fish in the pond that doesn't bolt if i move suddenly ,it just sits there calmly awaiting the next pellet . another reason to hand feed your fish is that it gives you a chance to see each individual fish close up ,giving you the chance not just to admire there beauty but also to inspect there bodies at very close range .this way you can look for problems before they get out of hand . one more advantage of feeding this way is that you tend to know when they have had there fill and therefore your not putting to much in ,which could lead to water quality problems . anyway i thought i would share this with you ,no doubt most of you will know this already but for those of you that don't give it a try as i promise you will be glad that you did . regards Mark
