Hello, Daphnia are very small, so if you are interested in breeding them for your koi, it is a good idea to have a small pond or pool only for them, and expect many months of breeding them before you have enough to feed your koi, I have put thousands in a small aquarium with just a few small koi, and withing an hour, the koi have eaten all of them, so that is why you have to dedicate an area just for them! I use them for my koi fry! And even then I start about six months before the fry are born, so that way I have alot.
