Rapid Growth, Nutrient, Enhance Color Food? Can't Post
What koi food can i use right now for my 4-6" koi fish?

I want them to grow faster and to enchance their color but still nutrient for them

I had them since November till now and they grew like inche or two.

feed them fruit and vegetables, dont be scared to be creative while feeding them. feed them shrimp, worms, fruit, vegetables, such as cucumbers, etc.

Hi,

For a start, you have to use small pellets which are easier for small kois to digest. For fast growing yearlings, try growth food with high protein level (ie. 40% and above) mixed with spirulina based color food at a ratio of 2:1. A good example would be Saki Hikari Growth + Saki Hikari Color Enhancing with a 2:1 ratio.

pretty much all hikari products are excellent to me. once i bought a hikari product and forgot it in the store. i was sooo sad. and i realized it when i was about 20 miles away, too far to go back. and it cost me 16 dollars too. what a waste.

try feeding live food, such as worms, and dead krill, and maybe shrimp. I recall them doing something good for color, but not sure. try it for one month, but before take a picture for "before" and after the 1 month feeding krill and live foods. take a picture named "After" and then compare them. this is always an exciting way to figure things out, well i love to do it. Dont be scared to experiment with koi.

i once fed it dry rice but i warmed it up to be soft. lol

you really into live food huh? and fruit... what kind of fruit?

dont know, whatever i like, i give them. such as mangos, cucumbers. I guess anything that looks colorful and has alot of vitamins, makes me think it will enhance they're health, and it probably will.
and i give them things i wouldnt eat, such as crickets, and worms.
I would think crickets would be a extremely healthy food for koi, and it may tickle they're mouths, same with worms.

once again, do the experiment. you'll be surprised.
