Should I handfeed? Can't Post

Ok, so I've got a koi and goldfish tank going for myself. Some of the fish are very social an literally are ready to jump out of the water to greet me when I come into to the room. As a result, I'm friendly back and I usually handfeed them. I wash my hands, wet my fingers and touch small pieces of fish flakes and have them suck it off my fingers. Now...the others fish however are quite shy and I'm afraid they won't eat. I've tried to drop in a few flakes after I handfeed my fish but the social ones just gobble it up. Should I isolate the shy koi into a separate tank and train them to not be afraid? Suggestions please.

Hunger and experience are both great teachers. When the shy guys get hungry enough they WILL come to eat. In the meantime they are learning by observation that you and the other fish are having fun and no fish is being harmed. Just give them time to come around. And don't worry about them starving or anything. They can go for weeks without food and not be harmed.
