koi not eating ?? Can't Post

2 moderately young koi in their own aquarium until they grow some and I put them in pond. feeding them koi pellets that float on the surface. when I first got them they would feed at the top as I expected (I've had them about 3 weeks), but last week or so, they refuse to go to the top for food. if a pellet sinks below the mid-point and they see it they eat it, but most pellets float at the top all day. I don't think that I was originally overfeeding them, ie, feed them what they would eat in 3 minutes, once in the morning and once in the evening. lately when they stopped going to the top, I cut back and I'm putting half pellets as before and only once a day. fyi, once a week I feed them brine shrimp. otherwise they seem calm and happy. but I'm concerned something is wrong with their feeding behavior, and not sure why they seem to be refusing to eat. is this seriously abnormal, if so what should I try, or are they going thru a phase and I should not be concerned ?? thanks!

As usual, we should check water parameters that might affect their behaviour and ultimately their health.

Please include the following in reply:
*Nitrate
*Nitrite
*PH
*Water temperature
*Ammonia

Those parameters can be found out by using a test kit available from your local fish store, along with a aquarium suitable thermometer.
