my koi have big appitites even for the size they are. but whenever i feed them i sit by the pond for 10-15 min and the koi are very skiddish very seldom will they come to the top unless i am very still. but when i walk away i come back five minutes later and all the pellets are eaten!!! how can i break the koi of this skiddishness so i can enjoy the beauty of my koi!

the bigger. deeper your pond is the more they feel secure. bigger kois are more bolder.

Hi Mike

So your pond is finally finished. Can you post some pictures for us to view your wonderful pond. If possible can you include your filter chambers.

Thanks
Hindley

you should get a prawn boil it then peel it go over to your pond with a prawn in your hand put your hand into the water and break the prawn up with your fingers and gradually let the peices sink the fish should start to eat it and follow the direction of where the food is coming from and will eventally come to your hand
