Never fallen in, but boy have I had too many close calls!! Usually in winter when there is ice around the edges of the pool. So put in one point for no or maybe "not yet".

I walk along the top edge of my pond but I have never fallen in, nor do I plan too Ill just fall off to the other side if If all. The reason I think the poll didnt show up is because it doesnt work, the last time I tried to make one it didnt show either I think it is broken.

yup, I fell in about three weeks ago now. And boy am I paying for it. Got to have surgery on right knee and may have to have surgery on left ankle, going to have MRI to see where I stand, and guess what, I did go in face first. I really wish I had some pics of this but it happened so fast and I did not have my camera with me that day. Im not shy at all, but I am wondering if my brains were in tack that day. Im so much of a koi nut that I did not even feel that pain until that night. Hell I was just plain happy to be in the mud with my koi.

No problem, I am glad I dont live there. Its going to take those states a long time to recover from this and the people will have a hard time for the rest of their lifes. Some will never recover.

Doesn't happen to me, my pond is a "water well" shaped and is pretty hard to fall into unless you run into it and trip on a stone or something.Smile Very safe for mine...... if it happened to any one here, it must be a heck of an experiance. you might hurt your fish too!Laugh

Hello Jon,
What a wonderful idea SlySlySly. If you brought an underwater camera, (you could buy disposable one if needed)
you could take some pictures from the koi perspective. Of course I would try it myself but I have no windows in my pond. Don't forget to post the pics Wink.

Re: [Koi38] have you ever fallen into your pond? [In reply to] Can't Post

yes. i think jon, you should put your face to the glass, purse your lips and puff your cheeks, and someone take the pic from the outside! You wouldn't have to get all the way in the pond, you'd just have to bend over. Whoops. That sounds inappropriate to me, but you know what I mean. lol

I had the net over the pond due to heron problems and my 4 yr. old grandson fell on the net! It was kind of funny really but, Thank God as I have all kinds of things to break a head in that pond!

KFG, i hope things go well with your breaks and bruises. You are lucky to have gotten out. that craps. ....cuda

I haven't fallen in lately but last summer i was walking around my pond and my sandal got stuck between 2 huge rocks. As i fell forward my big toe apparently bent farther than it should have and broke. It still amazes me how little it hurt....maybe i'm just tougher than i thought...LOL

Of course all i was worried about was whether someone saw me and if i looked as stupid as i felt.

Re: [Koi38] have you ever fallen into your pond? [In reply to] Can't Post

Wink sorry jon. ya know i respect ya. it was another kind of slip.

grandson didn't think it very funny but he doesn't prance around the pond like before. I've sprained my ankle, stumped my toes, I've done everything you can do around the pond except fall in or break bones. Once I decided I wanted to take a picture of my pond from 6 feet high. I had a rock wall around one end, so I put a chair on the wall and I had it all planned out what I would do if the chair fell.( I knew it was over a 50% chance it was going to fall) So i stepped on the chair with my camara in my hand and began to focus and fall...fell backwards instead of forwards like i'd planned. didn't want to break the camera so I almost broke my wrist. I tried like heck to just wish it away, ended up in the ER. Youth.... I need a little youth.. if i had of been 15 years younger (or practiced yoga) it would of been a good plan. ..cuda
