no koi in melbourne help Can't Post

Hi

We are moving to melbourne but have been advised that it is illegal to keep koi in victoria but okay in other parts of australia. Is it possible to get a license or some special permit to keep koi as i have some exceptional fish some of which I have breed myself and i would love them to come with me. Any help would be great.

No there is no way they would let you. That said plenty of people in Melb keep Koi illegally. Your best bet would be to fly them into Syd where they are legal and then drive them down to Melb. That way you get them past customs and fisheries.
