Alo kit,

Too bad that koimann, burongman and the special guest star "whitesnow" not appearing in this gathering. Just very eager to see who is this whitesnow...Crazy. Or else he could be one of our member in Brukoi Keepers club Laugh or may be president...LaughLaugh just joking.

master cifu, bruce..

i agree with koimann's ideas.. may be u can start a gathering at ur place n share with the member some of ur tosai, i personally trust ur selection, if u dont mind to sell some of ur small n beatiful koi to BKK member.. this is not a promotion but since u said want to open up the mind of member..

this will surely giving a chance for the member to enjoy better quality koi than buying 'normal koi' from funny sources..
what do u think? i m sure u r reluctant to let go some of ur tosai, but think abt it.. ur sacrify make the member happy.. worth it rite?Wink beside dat u can always visit the member's pond and see the progress of the sold koi.. at the same time can enjoy koi and teach member how to look after a good koi..Laugh

Cifu,
Are you asking me or somebody else?If me,I where got so many tosais? But its a good idea.Try and get good source, then select a few tosais and let the members buy and grow them.But.....always interesting question.....How much are you willing to spend??
Personally I think not more than $500 will get you a good koi.

master cifu..

yes i m refering to u.. what i mean is u go n get us some good koi say below $500 but with a good quality.. then BKK member can buy fro u rathering than choose ourself n end up 'lauyah' koi.. get wat i mean?Wink

our problem is we dont have the source n skills to choose n buy koi.. aka cheap n good quality koi..WinkWinkWinkWink

Aiya Cifu,
First of all,you have to ask all your BKK members if they are willing to spend $500 for a koi or not? From what I read in this forum, seems like $300 is already too much. This point you really have to consider 1st.If everybody agree, then talk.

Re: [Koimann] 22nd Jan 2006 post gathering [In reply to] Can't Post

master cifu..

during the meeting.. i spoke of upgrading the std of koi keeping among members.. as the president said.. 'if we want to do something BIG like koi competition or invite koi expert to give talk, we must 1st have good koi'

from this point, i guess the only person that i personally trust in koi selection is u.. i dont know how many member will take my work n the president's advice on this matter.. those who want to upgrade $500 shudn't be a problem.. for myself i oredi upgrade to the $xxxx standard when perchasing a tosai.. $xxx std is my past..

i hope member will upgrade their standard together n dont get left behind.. it's such a waste of time n $$ to keep on keeping 'low' quality koi..

Cifu,
Sometimes its not that people dont want to upgrade but cant afford to.You must understand this point.I also want to upgrade to All Japan level, but cannot afford too.SlySlySlyBut the best way,try to just buy 1 good $500 koi instead of 2 $200 koi. Then you can have low stocking levels plus a better koi.
You saw this afternoon the fibre tank that I set-up.I'm going to keep some tosais there to grow to do experiment. This a way for me to also learn and understand the koi better.

heheh master cifu..

see... i must get u a position in the BKK.. i like ur ideas.. buy one $500 koi than two $200 koi..
in this case, member can buy 1 koi in a year dat cost $2000.. rather than buy 10 koi a yr of $200 each.. very good suggestion, dis way member can keep quality koi than quantity koi..

thank you very much for the suggestion.. government servant.. BONUS is coming.. hehehhe time to get a good koi..SlySlySly
N i know if u guys ask koimann nicely he will sell his tosai.. he oredi admit he got 'experiment' tosai. ahhahahahahhahhahah..

Heres my idea......
Source for good kois every 2 or 4 mths. Each time buy from a different farm. That way you only buy what the farm is famous for. This will work out to probably 4 kois a year.
FYI I dont have any tosais now.I'm looking to buy some Sakai tosais. And if I cant get good ones, will have to wait till March auction(but expensive $XXXX Pirate).

why like this???? u know i now into sakai 'flu' u keep on posting pictures to me!!!! heheheh

i personally dont mind both of the kohaku... they look good to me.. i m sure paul will get the 2nd one ( 3 steps) if both of the skin quality is the same. picture look a bit blurr so cant comment much, pattern wise, very good.. since its a tosai, very hard to say.. 'pondan'?? hahahahahhaha but i trust sakai koi, especially their kohaku.. cannot complain if got one..Wink
