You have very soft water in your area. My area is about 70-80ppm, in my pond is about 150ppm.

Thomas,
According to the site, directly above the drum is roof and the roof has a hole which allow rain water to flow straight in. One thing quiet strange is there is no oyster shell or coral rock dipping and yet maintain stable pH. The drum can be completely filled within 5 mins while raining and pH is 7+, can you explain why?

It's a natural RO machine from sky, strange! hahahahahahahahahahaha Laugh

Hi thomas..

You have very soft water in your area. My area is about 70-80ppm, in my pond is about 150ppm.
just to share this with u and others too.. my area also 80ppm to 90ppm.. pond water ard 80 to 83ppm..
from my experience, if ur TDS from pond is too high compare with ur tap water, dats mean ur pond water got lots of dissolve solids. either lots of minerals (if u use clay) or lots of waste, overfeeding can cause high tds as well, not to mention salts, medication bla bla bla..

using BH also said to reduce tds.. frequent flushing of bottom drain can further reduce tds as well.. just my 1 cent worth info..

got some to share???
