Bio bLock ReviSited...ok this bio block certainly is small in size n definitely can handle 1000 litres of water.it serves as bacteria house and its made by izeki.so maxilla u must have heard about izeki product too coz izeki food r also sold in biocare....they concentrate more on koi development.izeki bio block cost B$60 (with mature bacteria) n B$50 (fresh block).the best tyng is tahan lama.when i set up my fibre i put in 3 block (2 of them with mature bacteria) and my water never goes cloudy xcept for one tym i forgot to tutup my inlet water to the fibre washing away all the bacteria but as i said it clear in one day.very impress with the performance...definitely useful for ppl who like to avoid green water.

i wana share performance of izeki food with u all.last week i went to visit a fren to c his koi.actually this fren bought a koi from us and wanted to c its development.we were very dissapointed to c that the koi dint do well.however the koi's sibling (same birthday)kept by my other fren grew way better. the ultimate difference is the food they feed the koi.the koi that grew better use izeki food while the other use cheap food.

Hmmm good stuff.. :) but since i got a pond about 7000~8000L i probably need bout 6~7 of them and it will cost me about $300~$350 to buy.. but.. mayb i buy it slowly.. one block at a time.. dun really care much about having bacterias or not.. coz can buy them (cultured/selected bacterias) at biocare.. in bottles cost bout $45 per bottle.

Izeki.. yea heard that brand before.. really that good?! wow.. mayb if me planning to buy some quality food.. me buy that brand.. since u said it.. ehhe... coz there are lots of other brand.. and dun hav time and money to buy and test them...

anyway thnx!
Cheers~!

hey again maxilla..definitely u have to buy them slowly...even i do coz u may not have to buy 6 -7 block.what i do is i buy a few first then let it run for a week n then test my water quality.if there is still high level of ammonia n these stuff barutah i get some mo...that way budget lagilah...but f u have the money ok lah alang2 skali gus tah. ooo that cultured one yup u still need them as maintenance service.cam kereta jualah...minyak engine nya paksa tani tukar some tym kan so sama lah.not that we have to tukar the block cuma top up the bacteria saja.block atu media saja untuk tempat tinggal bacteria n as u know some of them will die or wash away when tukar air...so good 2 have em sellalu.

ooo ya sal ur pump atu...sudah cek n bad news...doesnt meet ur requirement...mine cuma 3900 litres per hour.sorry salah info....when i bought it i dint look at the rate jualah coz for me its strong enough to be my spare pump in case my primary pump fails...so far ok n iatah nda bepakai.but i tunk im gonna use it for my new project....cant wait for it to siap...

actually izeki is one of the many brands...sama lah jua cam hikari....n the others atu.as long as u get a good food then its ok oready.im using izeki coz to suppot my fren business...well actually i found it good jualah.cepat besar ikan oleh nya.

k c ya....

hi kemeerSmile
jgn tah dulu pakai UV light, it will work but its xpensive. brapa lama udah ur water atu?? may b ur bio system alum kick in lagi, what u can do is to boost its bacteria count..

go to sengkurong hua ho, at the pet section, look for 'ocean free' brand bacteria powder, d last time i went masih ada 1 btl left. use the scoop inside the bottle n read the intruction, in just 3 days time ur water clear... BUT depend on ur system jua.. u must provide d bacteria wit 'house'... if u dont have enough media for the bacteria to grow, it will never work.. cheers..Wink
