FILTERED WATER VERSUS NEW WATER Can't Post

Hi all,

Just occured to me, all the hobbyists around the world has strived to attain the best water parameter by using various kinds of breakthrough filter media. From mechanical to biological. But when compared to new fresh water from the tap (dechlorinated of course) will the best filtered water be better? Thanks for your time and attention.

Regards,
Francis

Re: [cyrus_281] FILTERED WATER VERSUS NEW WATER [In reply to] Can't Post

hi francis..

i think u misunderstand the 'best water for koi' ... people around the world try very hard to create high quality water for koi with good water parameter ie.. zero ammonia, zero nitrite, stable pH, hardness and sooo on... PLUS.. good bacteria..
too much fresh water from the tape ie..water changes.. will stress koi thus create problem for koi.. for me, fresh water from tap is good for human not for koi..

people like me concentrate more on water purification..using bacteria to purify them of course.. change water is only if water parameter shows 'warning' sign..

i cant deny abt pond need water changes, wat i mean here is abt 10% daily changes with water drips is very sufficient..

so my fren, concentrate on biological filter aka.. BH .. is more advantageous and $$ saving than do water changes..

i hope i make sense hereSmile

regards
kit
