I guess all this bloodline & dob regarding this koi that u claim should have its individual original certificate from its breeder with photos stamped & attached in it,RIGHT?????
well both koi are from momotaro koi farm... MALE!!!!!! i used to keep those koi, both very yellowish when small, too bad i dont keep their photo of 'before' and 'after'..i sold them off to a fellow member 2 yrs ago..
yes they are male... only momotaro male soo far make me satisfy, as male are easier to keep, demand of pond deep is not as demanding as female.. skin quality as u can see, very good too..

the 1st koi is from the bloodline of eagle (at spawning time 92cm), born on the april 2003.. brought in by me as tosai at 30cm. u can find the brother nsister at Pg Yura Perkasa (3 koi), benghian got 2 koi...
the second koi is from the bloodline of seio.. the daughter of seio give birth of this kohaku is 4 yrs 87cm.. the koi was born on march 2003...
u must wonder how i know this.. i only bring in koi that i know very well, not like ppl bring in koi and dont know head n tail.. if u think i bullsh*t.. u can confirm at kepongkoi by calling vincent..
AS for ur information... momotaro koi farm NEVER issue cert for MALE koi..

I must agree w/ you on the importance of knowing the bloodline & history of individual kois. It serves as a benchmark as what can be expected of the tosai compared in relations to their parents! Owning one or more kois w/ this knowledge in mind can further elaborate ,and educate, the owners on the importance of good grooming and most importantly water quality needed by the koi to achieve full potential. (WHoah!!! That was a long one). Knowing the history of a koi is a benefit to all that collects koi, but is not a prerequisite towards owning one. That is why we see the value of kois w/ certified certificates from the farm, carry more "zeros" than those w/ an unclear history!!

Can someone explain to me how to guess which koi are male and female? (maybe a picture like cifu kit show like the one how good the koi are, ie broader head, eyes far a part and good lenght tails aparts)
Is it different type of koi have diferent type of characteristic to guess sex?

Sounds like you've been here many times coz you know we do barbies Mate summer is over, we are now in autumn season but weather is still good at 25deg to 27deg C I'm in Sydney.........so which part of this country did you stay and saw???

male koi have 'sand paper' feel at pec fins n gill cover, some expert sqeeze the anal part to check..
Is it different type of koi have diferent type of characteristic to guess sex?
