Laguna Pressure-Flo Filter Can't Post

I bought a new filter which from the manual i read and i quote:

"Provide the three important water filration operations that are essential for keeping pond water clear and healthy: Mechanical and biological fitration and UVC sterillazation"

from few views which i appreciate their sharing their knowledge with me a mechanical filter is just a filteration unit to remove fish, food and water waste, debris and dirt, while the biological filter is a necesiity to keep the water quality at a certain standard through bacteria and controlling the ph value( Please correct me if im wrong) and the UVC sterillazation i guess is to kill the planktons and algae....

so now im thinking of connecting the new filter to the outlet of the circulating pump then the outlet of the this filter goes to my blue box bio filter ( Do i get this right)

Oh yeah the Filter i bought is a Laguna Pressure- flo type.. hope i did not waste my money..

so any tips will be much appreciated

hi ice..

i personally think u r wasting ur $$.. this type of filter wont last, to last u have to open up and clean them all the time..

in time waste will built up, pressure goes up.. the whole unit might crack..

i have a fren oredi have almost the same unit previously, less than 2 mth, gonner... reason is "forget to wash"...

good luck..

Really kit,

I tought this type of filter have an indicator when it requires cleaning and simply turn the switch to the discharge valve when it requires cleaning.. i dont know much but that was the explanation given to me by the shop keeper and the manual...

so probbaly tommorow, im getting myself another circulation pump, one for my blue box filter and another one for the laguna..

perhaps that will create faster circulation of water

hi ice..

dont waste $$ buying the blue plastic filter.. why not buy a container from the local deptment store and modify sendiri??
just drill hole for water to come in from pump and then over flow out back to pond.. simple...
inside u can use the media u mentioned..

i m sure if u go Hua Ho department store u can see many container there.. get the biggest one, better.

I am looking at bacteria house actually, been asking around.. we have this big blue drum in my room.. thinking of using that one.. but sinc its infront of the house... so probbaly use an old big aquarium and he container u told me about.. something acceptable for main entrance to our home...

i still have tons of work to do.. kammer made a good point about aeration... im looking into that too...

i wonder if they sell a bacteria house somewhere
