Hi Members, This is what I heard; the invited Japanese koi breeders each would be bringing with them 20 specially selected 'top-notch' high grade quality tosai from their farm. I understand that these koi breeders, namely, Nogami, Dainichi, Fujio Oomo, Maruyama, Marusyo, (Omosako, Sakai - not sure yet), are, each, bringing 20 top-notch high grade quality tosai - all self-selected by the breeders themselves for the Malaysia Open Koi Championship 2006. Out of these, 10 of each 20 will be selected for the auction program and the rest would be released (at a price RM1,500 each {not confirmed yet}) to koi hobbyists for the KOI SELECTION COMPETITION, whereby the koi hobbyists will select their choice through balloting, rear them for 6 months and bring them back during THE MALAYSIA OPEN WAKAGOI CHAMPIONSHIP 2006, tentatively slotted for late August 2006. The 1st prize winner will win himself a ticket to Niigata, Japan. 2nd & 3rd winner's prize are to be confirmed. There might be more prizes other than these 3! Exciting, isn't it? Where else could you get superior grade tosai other than from these koi selection competition AND if these tosai really turn out to be as what these Japanese koi breeders 'predicted' them to be, you has got yourselve a superior grade koi eventhough that that particular koi of yours did not win in the koi selection competition! YA!!! YA!!! SIGN ME IN TO BE THE 1ST IN LINE for this competition!!! Bear in mind that these tosai are of superior grade, eg the Maruyama tosai are spawned from the last year's Japan Grand Champion. Likewise, koi hobbyists has no doubt about Nogami's top grade kohaku, so are koi from Marusyo, Fujio OOmo, Dainichi and the rest. Interesting? Well, we are making all this happen for you - the koi kichi, the serious koi hobbyists of Malaysia and the rest of the world (that is, if you are here at the show). So... my friends from across the causeway, make sure you make your way down here for the show and bring home some superior grade tosai from these famous Japanese koi breeders!!! And to all the local koi hobbyists, eventhough you have no koi participating in this coming show, you still could be around to join us for the koi selection competition, what say you! MARK THE DATE DOWN ON YOUR DAIRY, YOUR HANDPHONE, YOUR CALENDAR OR YOUR ROOM WALL OR ANYWHERE... AND DON'T MISS OUT ON THIS MALAYSIA OPEN KOI CHAMPIONSHIP 2006!!! Cheers RogerMoo
