PUMP CAPACITY . HP vs LPH..	Can't Post

Hi all..

just curious abt some of our pump's capacity.. one of my pump read '160 litre per min' which is abt 9600LPH..
well another pump show 0.75HP... anybody knows 1HP is how many Litre per Hour??

Hi Kit,

well another pump show 0.75HP... anybody knows 1HP is how many Litre per Hour??

1kilowatts = 1.34hp
1hp = .746kw = 350lpm approx...........so your is around 21,000lph Shocked

at this moment i got a 0.75HP and a 0.5hp pond.. my water capacity is 20000lit...
0.75hp - 21000lph
0.50hp - 14000lph
total - 35000lph.....

with this turn over rate do u think is good for BH??

Cifu Kit,

From my understanding you need at least 3x turnover rate to acheive the efficiency of BH. In your case you only have 1.5x approx Crazy

You can do an experiement, connect the two pumps inline get yourself a bucket and time how long it will take to fill up the bucket. That will give some idea how much turnover you have on both pumps, good luck Wink

hello guys,

Just came back from a seriously feet-aching expo and trust me, if you can stand around for more than 8 hours without sitting..... SALUTES MAN!!!

Good to hear the event is still on. The dimilin was at $65 for a 200g tub. Don't have a bechmark on that so don't know whether it was a good buy or not. Smile

As for the new arrivals should you be interested in the new arrival, pm me some info too as i could be interested in a few.... Smile

ZNA koi show, don't think this time bro as i have another trip to think off. Got to save up incase the itch is too hard to resist. hhehehe Wink
