hi robert.. hopefully the clay will bring down ur ammonia.. seems like u r very excited abt ur new liner.. heheheh cant wait to make a new pond oredi? hehehehehheh keep ur existing pond.. very good and beautiful pond... there are 2 type of koi keeper.. 1.serious koi keeper.. they keep high quality koi, their pond is so so only, some will have very deep n big pond with crystal clear water.. some like to keep their koi in muddy, green water..(koi like green muddy water in nature).. in japan, koi are keep in mud pond to make their koi BIG.. natural enviroment.. 2.serious koi pond keeper..they keep so so koi but their pond are sooooo beautiful.. pond dont have to be deep, but water must be crystal clear, more like for pond show or just a part of garden set up... hehehehehhe i think i talked too much.. remember crystal clear water doesnt mean good water.. as u may experience, clear water with water parameter problem is not a good sign. muddy water with good water parameter is more important.. hehehehehehheh.... anyway i dont see any problem with ur koi, so i presume ur ammonia level and high pH is still ok for ur koi to live in.. regards kit
