rully, nice showa,Laugh

the sumi splitting the hi on the head will make it an interesting specimen.
Love the motoguro and the hi pattern on the shoulder and tail.

I think most of the sumi will dissapear in the future as her mother has majority
shiroji on its body.

cheers

Hi rull, interesting showa...is it jumbo tosai? if it is, must cost you a fortune ya heheWink...well, the showa has what it takes to become an excellent showa, Superb menware, as rick said, good motoguro, and the sumi near it's tail is intense, a good sign the kage sumi on the body will develop well in 2-3 years...at this moment, I am quite concern about the HI on shoulder area...however, it's quite hard to judge the HI quality based on the picture alone...

As wiwi always said, showa is always improving year by year...I am sure yours one will be a good quality one once it's finished later...how about a pond visit to see ur new addition Cool, really like to see it up close hehe...cheers

OK GC attached is what I thought bigger picture than before. I tried to preview it but couldn't. Hope by the time I post this, I got it done correctly Wink.

Hi Ren thanks for your comment. Yes it is a jumbo tosai, Wiwi gave me a deal I cannot resist Wink. Actually it is my first showa as I was always reluctant in rearing a showa for the lack of knowledge on how to choose one. But I decided with this one anyway because I hope this one is a good learning curve to me. The price on this showa is actually "koi lover friendly" as Wiwi gave me a deal I cannot resist .... as a mafia godfather would put it Smile

Pond visit Ren ?
I'm actually in vacation these days. Just finished the final test and I won't be in school for another two months. So yes you guys are most welcome but beware my pond is not as nice looking as yours and others in this forum.

Hi Rully,

Thanx for the picture. It is bigger but I think even bigger than this would be nice. Just two concerns to highlight. One is obviously the amount of sumi that this Showa has, hope it does not swamp over the koi when it emerges. The only has to deal with the quality of the hi. It does not look very even on the second big step, just at the beginning after the head hi. Might be good to be a bit careful here.

cheers..

Re: [GCSpyder] A new member of the family [In reply to] Can't Post

Thanks again for your reply. After a few days in my pond I can see that the sumi of this koi actually getting darker. The hi also becomes more striking, maybe because there is lots of algae in the pond. However I'll keep an eye on the hi, see how it develops.

Now, for sure, the picture is big enough for you to see Smile. But I think it is too big. I wonder what is the best picture size to upload. Can you tell me?

Hi Rullysim,

On the contrary, the size is very good and clear now! This koi definitely has a lot of sumi. I will be interested to see how this sumi will develop as well as the pace of development. Will be looking forward to its development!

cheers..
