I have some koi dan koki babies. I mix them in a pond. Bolehkah? I wait your comment about it. Ini fotonya. Thx.

I think it's ok if u mix them together...coz they're not wild, right?Coz my brother last time also mix his koki n his koi...n nothing happen!N maybe someday u'll have a mix baby from these two....i'm sure it's damn nice!

Thank you VC. Oh ya..., There are my Chagoi pictures. He is not nice, but very gentle. So, my daughter love the chagoi. She named it lovy. When my daughter call: ''Lovy..., lovi...,'' the chagoi swim near her.

actually, thats an ochiba shigure ... (50% chagoi 50% soragoi)

but still, im sure its 50% chagoi nature will make it very friendly!

why do you say its not nice? ok - it might not be a nice chagoi ... because it is a beautiful ochiba shigure!

p.s. ochiba shigure translates to autumn leaves on water (because of the leaf like patterns on its body)

Thank a lot Aragorn. Your comment has added my knowledge abt this beautiful fish. I am new comer in koi, so I always open this forum to studies it. Aragorn, how about my first question: mix koi and koki ini the same pond, is it danger?

unfortunately, i dont know what a koki is ...
if its the one in the pics that looks like a goldfish variant ... im sure it wont harm the kois and vice versa

Hi Mike,
You right. Koki fish is gold fish. In my country, Indonesia, the gold fish like its known as koki fish. I take the other picture there are three kokis (gold fish).

Hi Ari,

You can goldfish and koi together though you have to watchful. The danger is that the koi might nip on the fins of the goldfish. If that happens, you will probably want to separate the goldfish. The other relates to the current in your pond. I like to have a fast current in the pond, which is good for kois but will be extremely stressful for the koki. Have fun!

Looks like you are on a buying spree too.

i like the pearlscale gold fishes! (the ones that look like golf balls)

once upon a time, i had those types of fishes ... but i didnt know about filtration then.

Hai Ari.....finnaly i bought 2 chagoi just now...one small n one big!But i don't know the other one...i mean is it a true chagoi or not..hopefully it is!Sorry i just have a time to reply coz i went out of town last week!Oh ya by the way...ur chagoi is nice!Maybe i'll take a photo of my chagoi too....cause i want to know the truth whether is it a true chagoi or not!

Ari, I think you have a nice collection of kois and gold fish. I would love to visit your pond sometime.

Where do you stay in Indonesia? What is the size of the pond and how many kois and gold fishes you have.

By the way I have 18 kois and 6 gold fishes. I do not have camera so I cannot show you the picture may be

Ok Ricky. I live in Colomadu, 10 km west of Solo. But, now I have a serius problem with TNI AU. Coz my village bordered with them. And they plan to built the wall, so our door will be closed by the AURI wall. But I have report it to MPR RI Chief, Mr Hidayat Nurwachid.
Ok, we forgeted it, I am sure God save us. I have 16 kois, 10 goldfish (ranchu, oranda, black moore, and pearl scale), and many koi fry. I want visit your pond too. Where do you live, Ricky? Oh ya, my mobile phone is 0815 787 02555. I hope we can meet whenever.
Ricky, yesterday I read a koi book. It writes that the 'ulat Hong Kong' that usually for bird food was good for koi too. Is it true?

Sorry Ari...i haven't got a free time to take a picture of my chagoi...but i promise u...i will take it soon as possible!I really doubt with my chagoi cause they're just like the other....i mean if i stand near my pond...they will get panic unless if it's a feeding time!So u just have to wait for my picture...thank's for that!

Hi VC....,
The key word to make a koi tame is patient. You have to playing with them. Playing the water pond by give kois food. Sedikit demi sedikit aja, sambil bermain air, VC. Hope they wil be tame fish that can feeding on your hand.

Ari,

I do not know about ulat hongkong but if you can make sure that it does not come with
hard skin which could hurt your kois then I assume you can feed them.

Hi,

I heard too about this our little fellow called "ulat Hongkong" Crazy

. They said that it is some kind of "ulat sutera" and some people feed their koi with it cause it contain high protein which is good for growth. That's what I heard

Thank you Ricky n Monscine...., You're right. ''Ulat hongkong'', written in this koi book I read, contains 52% protein and a little oil. So, its can make kois grow well. I had feed my kois with 'ulat Hongkong' twice a day for a week, and I look the water pond wasn't dirty. I think my kois like this food. Now, I stop feeding 'ulat hongkong', I'll wait what happen with my koi after that. About silk larva (ulat sutra?), I heard its can make kois shiny. Ok all, we wait and see. I'll tell to you all what happen with my kois next time. See you.

Hai ajeng...thanks ya for your advice...coz my kois have been very very tame to me since i follow your advice....becoz at first i always feeding them with a spoon....n now after i know i always feeding them with my hand....is actually quite fun...i'm afraid they get bigger so fast coz i like feeding them...hehehhe!Thank's again!
