Sakai Jumbo Tosai Auction '06 Can't Post

FYI guys, Sakai will have Spring Auction held on 14th and 15th Mar 2006. Mostly are jumbo tosai kois and some are nisai kois. This is their link : http://www.sakai-ff.com/index_e.htm

How about these kois below?? Tongue

If any of you interest to bid those kois, you might call Kiki (Samurai Koi) cause he'll be there to join the auction.

Hi Jon,

Being from the parents of the koi, I would believe they leave a special purpose of this koi from the beginning of the auction Tongue. They put her as the last number at last after being no number contestant. IMHO of this koi, body just fine with some girth already but the ozutsu seems thin to me. Quality of the skin and pattern, this koi has deep beni color with balance on her beside good luster too. Being still nisai old koi, the development of the sumi will destine the faith of this koi.

Anyway, koi is just like a painting..... personal touch.

Hi monscine,

Thank you for sharing your thoughts about the koi. But it's still a very big gamble($42,000USD). I know if all future prediction for this koi come thru it will be worth more than doubleShockedWink I guess its really depends how deep your pocket isLaugh

Would you buy this for $42,000USD if you can afford itCrazyTongueLaugh

Jon

The bidder think these auction kois is cheap when compared to a finished "All Japan show quality" jumbo koi which easily cost ¥ "two digits" million .

Do anyone know how much did Martin & Mark from UK spent for this year All Japan GC : Sakai Kohaku ??? Wink

Hi Riwin,

Rumours said the GC of Martin & Mark was bought at 25 millions yen. But since both of them are UK koi dealer, I presume there would be someone who willing to b
uy the koi (consider of UK poundsterling has strong currency to Japanese Yen)

These men should have extremely wealthy customer... maybe have their own money machine ... or customer that have same habit as Paris Hilton ... heheheh ..

I think Martin & Mark already spent more than 50 millions yen (or maybe 100 millions yen ???) for All Japan major titles since last year ..

Hi Karom,

Maybe you could contact Kiki. He has some auction kois from Sakai and some more from Momotaro. He could send you email containing the pics of the kois if you interest.

Cheers,
