dear koi suhu

any one know the price of kaldnes in jakarta and where i can get one..???.. another question should we use airpump / aerator for biofilter chamber..???i see in other thread the use aerator only in very cold season / four season country

Anyway I am not in Jakarta, can not answerd 1st question.

For aeration in biofilter chamber seem is not a good idea because it will disturb absorption process by bacteria, it needs a steady stream instead. Better you put aeration before the chamber if you want to enrich the O2 in the water.
Note, this is not because I am a Suhu, just because nobody give an answer.....

thanks mas Ghozze.. i am in semarang .. that way i ask if in jakarta the have the product.. cos already keliling town no body know/have the kaldness..
i think everybody have very very different opinion how the put the aeration.. some i read the put the stone under the media.. and you say not under the media.. but if your placement is works why not if i copy your system ahhaha..

They could import Kaldness or Helix (equivalent to K1 but cheaper) for you, and they may carry some stocks for you.

can you show me the picture of this helix ? do they work better than K1, jap mat and bioball ?

For Kaldness (K1), you might buy at Oriental Koi with Mr. Bohan Jauwan. Unfortunately I've lost his number. But you may ask Mr. Kwachid his phone number. Last time I bought, it costs about Rp. 1jt/bag contain 50 litre of K1. That time, buy 11 for 10.

As aeration in biofilter chamber, it is very recommended as the bacteria need it in processing the ammonia and nitrate. Especially if you are using K1 as the media, than you must installed aeration on each chamber to circulate the K1.
