what is the correct dosage for dimillin

Hi all,
I need to cofirm the correct dosage for using dimillin. I read somewhere that said 1 gr dimillin to be used for 1000 gallon of water (us gallon), and somewhere else said that 1 gr is for 1000 liter. which one is correct?
